Cocoya is home to more than a thousand coconut trees and cinnamon plants respectively. The irrigation canals that separate the rows of coconut trees not only add a unique beauty to our land, they also play a vital role in regulating the soil acidity and maintaining the diversity of wildlife that live on and visit the land.
Indigenous birds such as kingfishers, woodpeckers, herons and eagles are common sights from all parts of the our land. Peacocks call our land home. Their distinct calls in the mornings are our natural alarm clocks. Shy langur monkeys are regular visitors at dusk, feasting and relaxing on the trees at the perimeter of the land.
We also have around 30 different trees and plants growing on the land. Our fruit trees provide us with organically grown and delicious fruit.
